Now that my magellan is 14 yrs old its going nuts,cant seem to stay on right day and losses fix intermittantly. Who around has the best prices on Marine Electronics and which one would you suggest? I dont need a dual settup, already have good sounder

I've had good luck with Garmin. I've got the 182, but it has been discontinued. I've seen the 172 color and it looks good. Garmin just introduced a whole new lineup so a little research will be required.

I also recommend Garmin. Its got a great setup for Tides, moons, and maps. I would look at boaters World or West Marine, or Bass Pro and compare prices. Then compare them to Amazon.com You can also use Google or Yahoo to shop for the one you are looking for and it will tell youwhich one is having the best price. After you find that, I suggest looking for a coupon online. You never know, there may be one. I just bought two GPS systems from DELL cause they were more than a $100 cheaper than anyone else. Butt that was last week. I bought the GPSMAP 60 CSX for just over $300 and everyone else wanted 449 so just shop around. Mine plots the barometric pressure and when it drops a good chunk, I just pack it in and leave.

I bought the Garmin gps map 76csx from pcnation for $314. It was more than I wanted to spend put I now have all of the options they offered. It sure works nice and grabs the sats quick.

I have a Foruno GP-32 that I'll sell ya for a hundred bucks.

I saved over $300 on mine GARMIN gpsmap 376c last year. I bought my gps at West Marine after finding the best price online printing it out and taking it into the store and they price matched it. I'm not sure if they still honor that policy.
so do some home work before you make purchase.

West Marine will no longer match internet prices. They quit back around October. They will match "in town" prices

I was in West Marine this past week and the manager said they are doing price matching on the internet again. So bring them your info. I would also look at Kevins they carry some stuff now too, and talk to Lin, he's will make you a great deal in the fishing department.
