Fished today from 10:00 to 3:30 in the cold wind. Nothing big - 7 small bass around keeper size on senkos, worms and a crank. Water temp has dropped to 67 with the colder weather.
The nice fish of the day was a 'gill, caught on a fly:
I bring way to much out, esp. for a 12' boat. When I started bass fishing a few years back, I'd bring a couple of bags of worms and senkos, a few hooks and two rods. Now its 4-5 rods, a full tackle bag and a field box full of plastics. Normally, the extra tackle is for when things get slow - that's worked out a few times for me, especially with cranks.
I'm working back, weeding out stuff that has only caught me and not a fish - 5 years from now, it'll be two rods,a bag of senkos and a bag of worms.
