Any East End or SGI reports?

Post by OG »

I'll be down at the SP this Wed-Sun camping with the kids. Just wondering if anybody has fished that area recently with any luck? I've got access to Sykes Cut as well. Anybody done anything with the pomps?

I have wanted to fish over there for years and guess I'm just a creature of habit fishing the waters in my neighborhood. Good luck though and I look forward to hearing how the fishing was over there and how you did.
If we are not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?

SGI fishing

Post by jfalcon »

The surf was rough last week, but there was a lot of bait in the surf. My kids caught a bunch of whiting on shrimp fished on the bottom. I fished the oyster bars with a spoon and topwater with no success. Finger mullet fished in the surf resulted in four sharks between 3 and 7 feet. One guy at the SP had caught a lone pompano.
