I am coming down to stay at a beach house on Bald Point, next to the state park. I will be there the last week of march. I would like any information you all could give me on what to fish for, how to fish for it from the surf, the best places to fish in that area if you know it, and whats season. All help would be greatly appreciated and if I see ya while I am down there I'll give ya some of my grandpaw's homemade whiskey, thanks

That time of year is during the transition, so there is no tellin what ya gonna catch :o Your best bet is ta fish the State Park on Bald Point, FishBites will get the most fish per riggin, shrimp will get ya more fish but you will have ta rebait a lot! Trout and Reds will be the main fair, but you will find most all fish of every kind in the cut in front of the "very small" fishing peir. The weather will decide what will be there and what will not :D

You don't have to fish from the pier. Walk through the channel to the first oyster bar and from there you can almost walk out to the channel markers. Watch the tides though. Walking out on low and walking in on high is a different story.
