Woke up with the Monday blues, decided the only cure was to spend some time on the flats. I put in at 11:30 and had planned to explore some new spots, but the East flats looked so inviting that I never went anywhere else. With the incoming tide and a gentle breeze out of the south, my driftline was consistent. I had the best action in 5-6 feet using Gulps. Water temps ranged from 72 - 73. By 5:00, the winds were picking up a little, so I headed in.
Tally:
12 trout (mostly shorts)
1 Spanish
Numerous Ladyfish
Blues are gone for now, but Tuesday morning is looking a little shaky...

Thanks for the report. All us office locked folks appreciate those who manage to escape now and then

Good to hear the water temp is creep'n back.

That's the way to take care of those Monday blues. Shouldn't you have been at school?

Oops, the professor was caught playing hookie.
Actually, it's finals week and my exam is on Thursday. After next week, every day is Saturday!

A little salt water theropy is good for those blues. You know I'm not feeling so good myself

Oh come on, being a retired Marine can't be that bad! We should schedule a little veteran's fishing tournament to see which service can haul in the most. Go AF!
