What is your artificial bait of choice....the one you would never go fishing without? I am trying to stock my tackle box and want to get the right stuff!

I keep a variety of Mirrorlures and Gulp baits (shrimp and shad) in the tackle box. When nothing else artificial is producing fish on of these almost always brings a hit.

Topwater (Zara Spooks, Skitterwalks, and Top Dogs) and soft jerkbaits (I like Manns and Exude). If you think you hooked now, try topwater. You'll be ruined for life. :-D

nobody gonna say a Mepp's spinner?

Not traditional for these parts, but freshwater trout, saltwater trout, muskee, pike, reds, bass and everything in between will eat'em.

You got to remember, there's a great intrinsic value in having a box full of lures...Along with having most anything you need to catch a fish you got an investment..Like an art collector you got value plus the pleasure of owning it...How many times you sit watching tv plundering through your tackle box..makes a lot of winter nights a lot more pleasurable..Plus the intrigue of trying to get a hook out of the armrest of your recliner without leaving a hole !
