any cobia?

Im new to the site. Anybody seen any Cobia? I fish out of Ecofina mostly and caught my first Cobia of the year this past Saturday. 30" throwback but on a 7 ft light spin outfit , good fun!

Been a few around the light house, and a few posts have mentioned them around anky. Hav'nt seen any bruisers though,yet :-? hope ta find some this weekend :thumbup:

Thanks for the info catch 22. Im going Sunday with a buddy who has new sailfish. I tried to tell him Triton was the way to go but he opted for the Sailfish so I m going with him to try it out. See ya on the water!

Boated a 24" cobe last Friday at Anky and two days before that
followed a very large one around for about a half hour as he worked
around a bar...tried to entice him several times without success.
On light tackle they are fun!

My wife caught a 29" cobe last Sunday out of Keaton Beach. We saw sevral more just cruising along that weren't hungery.

Bad Behavior was my fishing partner at the Keaton Beach tourney. Yall fellas give him a warm welcome. He is a ugly fellar but has plenty of money. If yall need any furniture give him a call he owns 3 Badcock stores.

The ones we saw were cruising pretty close to big rays. My wife thought she had hooked the ray until it swam off in the other direction. I forgot to mention the Challanger Marsh Master rod from South GA outdoors was intrumental in taming the beast. Thinking about getting a few more, anybody if where I can find one?

Thanks for the welcomes to the site. Good to see so many like minded people in one place! By the way, Cairo Trout aint too pretty a fella either! Ill take a pretty boat over a pretty face anyday!
