Went with a friend on his 26' Pursuit (very nice set up for fishing and diving), his 13 yr old daughter, and 2 other friends. Picked up a few live baits and headed SE. 38' nothing would bite, the bottom looked great, so everyone else went down to look around (I guarded the boat, I don't dive). They got one Hog snapper, and one grouper.

Next stop, 40', nothing biting, the water was supper clear, one guy(Jeff) was is the water, watch my bait go down, 4-5 grouper swim up to it, look at it and swim away. So they went down again, and got 2 grouper.
Fred (boat Capt) with his groupers

We finally got a great bite around 2pm, in 43', it lasted about 45 minutes, with everyone catching grouper as fast as they could get them in the boat and get rebaited. Had 8 keepers, and 10+ shorts, and a few misses.
They turn off as fast as they started. Tried a couple more places, with no luck. Headed back to hill.......Ended up with 11 grouper to 27", and one snapper (didn't get a pic of the total catch).....A great day on the water, thanks Fred
