It was a pleasant surprise to find that it only takes 1 1/2 hours to get to Wingates from Sopchoppy  Met the wind as we arrived "as expected" and was unloaded and on the water before lunch :-D My nephew Mike fished with me all this trip, My nephew Frankie fished with his daughters fella "also a Mike" and my brother got to really relax and fish by himself on this trip. Learning just a small section of this place much more than a one trip thing :o so I don't feel to bad about our showing  we didn't fish any on Sunday, just relaxed a bit, then loaded up and headed home :-D The final total for the 2 1/2 days of fishing was 19 keeper Bass to 4 pounds, 3 nice Crappy "caught while fishing rubber worms" and close to 100 Shellcrackers "of which my brother caught the majority of" :smt004 I would say that we missed at least 40 Bass on just our boat :o a few came from around the lilly pads, but most from the grass beds "I actually fished with and caught most of my fish on a worm TC :o "All of the Crackers came on Crickets  I would have to say that the highlight and low point of the trip happened Saturday afternoon, we was drifting the grass again "or it coulda been called sailing" when I got hung in the grass and it just wouldn't jiggle loose, so I give it a good yank and set the hook into the biggest Bass of my life :-D and she was pullin drag like crazy and then Mike yells where is the da... net "still at the cleaning table from this morning" :smt009 so I commence ta trying to tire the ol girl out, well she commenced to diving strait into the grass and buries up in it, the wind is pushing us drag is going out and Mike can't run a foot controlled trolling motor worth a flip, SOOO, into the drink goes Mike ta try and lip the thang while I'm wondering if we aint both done gone crazy :smt005 well, Mike follows the line down with his hand and just as soon as Mikes hand touches the Bass, she explodes outta there and takes my last Punkinseed/Chartues worm with her :hammer: I would guess her weight at between 12 and 15 pounds and sure woulda liked ta have a pic of her :smt007 The other highlight was having Barhopper come by and visit with us for a bit "giving pointers on where to fish and what to fish with" and letting us borrow his Iron Skillet   I do believe that we will be going back to Seminole several times a year
