You guys give me some thought here. I have a 220LTS triton with a 225 optimax. Draft 16" but Im dingin my rig a good bit with the ins and outs of ecky. I love fishin there but am lookin for some new water. Ive fished all the way from SJB back to Steinhatchee and have found Fenholloway is about as far south as I want to go(too dang clear, too many boats) Give me some ideas on your favorite waters and maybe some Navaids to get me started. Is Lanark still pretty good? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Doesn't matter where you go, there's stuff out there. If not rocks and oysters, it's shallow water. My suggestion would be pick an area you like, watch the tides, and learn the obsticles in that area.

16" of draft is a lot, getting out and back in at Econfina. You wouldn't have the problems if you launched at the St. Marks Fort. But once you get out of the river you'll find obsticles in the St. Marks area.

I think I may have seen you Saturday afternoon. I was at the Fort ramp, waiting to load, when a Triton idled by, headed toward Shields.

Sorry , wasnt me. My rig was @ the marine shop haveing the motor lifted three inches , and a skeg guard put on. I have fished over there, but not lately. If i put in @ St Marks, come out of the channel, how far out of the mouth before I can head back south safely? My triton is black with a t top and jack plate. BAD BEHAVIOR all down the side of it! Yes actually I am a little proud of my rig, can you tell?? I fished sunday, see report. :-D

16" is a lot of draft for Anky unless you watch the tides carefully....
that being said I see more larger boats fishing out of there
than I can remember over the past 35 or so years
