Carrabelle 5/2 fishing prodigy

Got the opportunity to fish with Mark and his son(4) and daughter(6) with a buddy of mine Kent. we got on the water about 8:00am, what a beautiful day, got a couple of dozen pinfish and a dozen or so hardtails and headed for the fish.

We got to the AJ hole and the fish were on the top waiting for us.
First bait gets nailed in about 2 seconds the fun never stops till our arms
give out.

Now fishing with Mark's kids is a great experience both love the water and though we start out about 5:45am and finished after dark thirty, they never complained once. Mark has this teach a kid fishing down pat, so if you got kids, listen up. He uses a 5 foot ugly stick rod with a open faced bass reel ($9.99) with 65 lb braid. He gets the fish hooked and calls for Ian to come get it. Ian holds the rod between his legs holds on and keeps cranking.
First AJ with a little help

Ian out fished us all day boating well over a dozen fish, towards the end of the day he was boating little rock bass, graping with his thumb and unhooking the fish by himself, I can't believe this kid is 4.
The next spot we had a slow bite but ian manages the biggest red snapper of the day.

We head to another spot hoping for grouper and Ian turns it on again
first keeper Grouper

Just as we were ready to head for the hill, mark yells for me to look at the water and I see a 3 foot dolphin(fish) swim bye, I grab my trout rod with a CT and jig I used with the kids when we were pinfishing and run to the bow, toss it out and the dolphin nails it, after a couple flips and runs we grab the leader and the dolphin cuts the jig off, close, but still a catch.
We ended the day with limit of AJ, Red GRouper, 4 gags, grunts and a world of memories. Great day on the water.

Man that is great day. :D

I don't have any kids and haven't fished or been around them enough to have an opinion, but it sure sounds like a lot of fun every trip.
