Thanks to everyone that attended. It was good to fish in a tournament wheere the rsults were so close. The difference between 1st at 11.71 and 2nd 11.70 was 1/100 of and ounce. I came in 8th and was at 9.83 which was less than 2 lbs away. Lots of nice fsih were caught. I'm glad I got to see all ya'll.

Thanks to everyone; JT, TC, and the sponsors. Sorry I couldn't be there for the hot dogs and prizes.

Congrats Casey.

For those who don't know, the tournament addeded another chapter of enjoyment to the greatest weekend of my life. katie and I headed out to the Cape on Wednesday night to enjoy a day of off-shore fishing with our families before our wedding. My family brought 175#s of fish to the dock and hers 150#s. Each boat had a limit of snapper and kings. Our boat also had 4 groupers of over 10 pounds, some triggers, two scamp and a dolphin. I was broken off twice by a huge cobia who wrapped me around a marker. Capt. John on the Big Time and Capt. Chip on the Miss Mary are awesome.

Friday, I made a quick trip back to Tally after realizing we had forgotten my father's wedding clothes.

Friday night I went to the Spoonbill in Apalach with many friend's I hadn't seen in forever. Friends from high school, college and law school all arrived out of the woodwork. When we arrived back the Gibson Inn, there were some libations in the room that had been sent by B-Man and his Mrs. wishing their best to Katie and I. Thanks Barry, a truley thoughtfull and much enjoyed gesture.

Made it to Presnell's early Saturday and fished until about noon. My first fish of the day was about 23" and fat. We continued to fill the boat, which was kind of a suprise since I didn't catch a single keeper trout the weekend before. By 12:00 our stringer conisted of 1@23, 3 between 19-20 and the fifth @ 17-18, many other released. We also put threee flounder and a spanish in the box. I guess the stringer ended up good enough for second.

I managed a nap and shower before Katie and I tied the knot at 4:30. From there we took a limo to the Gibson where a fabulous reception ensued.

Thanks to all those who enabled me to put one more chapter, a successful trout tournament with a couple old buddies, into the best weekend ever. Can't wait for the next one. Pictures will come shortly, but right now just trying to get caught before leaving for the honeymoon.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
