After two good reports dad was itching to go... I have the Parade of homes tomorrow and Sunday so no fishing this weekend
I finished up work and headed home to pick up dad.

We hit the water about 4 and started out of Panacea again.
The wind was lighter than the day before so it was a little harder to set up a drift.

Dad caught the first trout and then I caught a nice blue

No telling how many we caught today....They are fun but not what we were looking for!
Didn't take a lot of photos on the water but we got our limit of trout and headed back in at sunset for dinner at Hook Wrecks again..
If you haven't been the food is great!

10 trout and a Blue- Biggest was about 24...
Almost all of the trout were on topwater.
A couple came on the gulp dragging under the cajun thunder.

Best of all it was a great time with my dad!

Awesome photos and looks like it was a tremendous time, thanks for sharing! I echo the sentiments of MudDucker-cherish these moments and get as many in as you can, time has a way of taking it's toll on all of us. I know I really felt like the circle had been completed when I was able to take MY dad fishing for the first time instead of the other way around. I also enjoyed seeing the look on his face when he realized that his grandson, my oldest, had the fishing fever as much as he and I did!
