Went out of the new ramp at shell pt. w/ my dad in his 21 ft sailfish. Water laid down so we caught some pennies and headed out to the rotary reef. Caught a bunch of short grouper on jigs tipped with the gulp cut bait. Got broke off once by some sea monster, wish I would've seen him. Right as we were about to leave dad hooks up with fish that doesn't fight like a grouper. Ends up being a 26 inch 4 1/2 pound trout. In 25 feet of water. After some high fives we ask ourselves what the heck he was doing out there. Come back in to Shell pt. and catch two nice trout over 20 on a floating jerkbait. Overall fun trip. 3 keeper trout, 1 keeper grouper, countless macks and short grouper.

Good to hear. If the winds stay down some this weekend I'm planning on running out to the Ochlockonee Shoals for some sure enough Trout fishing, and everything else that will bite a hook and stretch a line.
That is one fun place to fish

Did he catch it on a grouper rig? Might be a line class record. Nobody catches trout on line that HEAVY. Check it out.
