I am still learning my new GPS, Garmin GPSmap 76C and know that I need to get software for detailed charts, I believe BlueChart. What is best for the Forgotten Coast area, particularly Appalachee Bay and Appalachicola Bay areas.

I got the 76csx about a month ago and love it...

The Blue charts are a must for the coast- I got the CD not the chip.
Then download the waypoints list from this site.

The Garmin customer service people are very helpful.
They walked me through everything step by step.

I got the CD too. You get to pick one area and you should pick the Gulf Coast. I bought the Americas CD. You can unlock other areas likethe East Coast if you want too. I think all of the Gulf Coast was very small in size too like a lot less than 64 mb.

Mapsource Bluechart CD is the way to go. It is great waypoint management software also.
