St. Teresa....again

Headed back down to St. Teresa early Saturday morning with my buddy Jeff, for another day of work. Decided to hit the water a little early and do a little wade fishing. Jeff's first cast yielded him a nice sailcat
At least the fight was fun
I was using live shrimp under a CT and manged 1 nice keeper trout after the first 10 minutes or so. The bite with shrimp was slow, so out came the trusty gulp. Started getting bites left and right.....just couldn't hook the fish (not just the pesky pinfish!!) Finally, we got into the trout and I remembered how to set a hook
I managed to get 3 trout into the net and missed 4 more biggins. Had 2 gain their freedom by just slipping out of my hands....and they were the biggest ones
The bite slowed around noon, so we decided to head over to Hook Wreck Henry's for oysters and grouper sandwiches
What a way to finish off the day
Catch of the day included about 12 trout caught (14"-18")....only 4 made it to the floating net. Caught a few nice sailcats and the usual number of hardhead cats. We had the usual cutoffs from the spanish and never manged to hook one
The fish bit gulps the best and we released about $6 in shrimp.
I guess Chalk's saying is true "There is no greater fan of gulp fishing than the shrimp."
