Im headed down to Ecky Friday around 1:00 pm to set up the rooms for everybody else in our group, anybody interested in a short trip that afternoon?? Thinkin of runnin out and picking up a limit and then trying for a couple of reds. Anyone whose fishing the tourney that wants to come on down Friday just let me know. I can t get my partner there until later Friday evening and I hate to go out there for just one limit!!

Im staying all weekend. 10-4 on the directions there Chalk, sounds like pretty much where were gonna be!

I'll be pre-fishing Indian River Laggon, which will not help for Econfina.

BB-Watch out for those "mystery fish." I went yesterday looking for gator trouts since Casey and I couldn't find 'em Saturday; I proceeded to find some nice reds, a flounder and lady fish, but no gators (not a single trout of any size for that matter).

Loosing my patience I decided to go see if could find a cobia. After ariving at the anticipated "cobia hole" Katie hooked up on her first cast. Before I even had a chance to pick up a rod. After a fight the day was over, as I soon realized a 17' aluminum bass boat doesn't really have adequate storage for a cobia. It was all pretty exciting though; small women, big fish, inshore rod, no gaff, decent chop. pics coming soon.

I'll be making the run back there during the tournament if I still can't find a trout over 20" for my stringer.

Could you smell those cobia steaks on the grill last night TC?
