Went out after church, showing a home and visiting a client...

Got the boat hooked up while my wife packed drinks and headed out about 3
Hit the water about 4. Jessi brought a book and got some sun while I fished.

It was WINDY- when we passed Bottoms there were white caps everywhere.
The photo does not do it justice...

Ran to one of my spots and grabbed my goto rod with the Chugbug... Thought, I should cut this off...
Wait, Chalk has said they will hit top water in any kind of weather.
No, I'll throw it a few times.
Two casts.. Bam.. Nice keeper. :-D

Ended up with a limit of keepers- caught +10 trout, 1 lady fish....
Most all on topwater- a few dragging gulp under C.T
Lost two NICE ones at the boat... This time it was my fault not Jessi's netting skills. :smt009

A beauty of a sunset...

Then a shrimp PoBoy and some broiled oysters from Hook Wrecks.

Thought I saw your truck down there yesterday. Me and the boy decided to go to Mashes Sands and try there since I didn't bring the boat with me. The wind was so bad there, and no bites, so we decided to go back over to Alligator Point. There was much better conditions over there and actually got a few fish to bite too. We caught a few trout on the trusty gulp and hardly anything on scrimp. Came home and had fresh trout a redfish for dinner :lick:

Glad to hear you had a better day than us though and it sounds like we both ate well at the end of the day

Those look like some nice fish Barry. Trout on topwater

The seas look pretty flat in that sunset picture.

The fish have been quality!
It did calm down as the day went on but it was still rougher than I like.

I still can't believe that photo doesn't show how choppy it really was.
I was casting in white caps and it was hard to keep an eye on my lure.
it would disappear behind the crest of each swell.
And the wind- whippin'...

Still more fun that being at home doing yard work!

Are Hookwrecks & Hook Wreck Henry's one in the same? I've had this place recommended to me in the past, and didn't wanna end up at the wrong joint.
