Tom and I launched from the LH around 6:30 this morning. We had been planning this trip for a week, hoping the weather would be decent. It wasn't. We forged on despite the Gale force winds heading west hoping to find a few reds.
Thats what we found. Very few reds. And nothing else. The bait was there, mullet everywhere, plenty of water and a falling tide, but no fish. Chunk and wind was the order of the day and by 11:00 we had 3 redfish and darkening skies. Tom twisted my arm to go in by mentioning Riverside's hamburgers, I quickly relented.
Caught'em on topwater and spoons. Thanks for coming along Tom.
Good day in questionable weather conditions guys.
However, it is not too hard to limit out on a species you can only keep one of. And there are millions to choose from.
And everybody knows them stinking reds are everywhere.
The GATOR TROUT. Now that is the test.
