Anybody got a map???

Im looking to maybe expand my fishing horizons and have been thinking of going back to St. Marks. If I go out @ the lighthouse landing, and head out of the channel, how far before I can cut it back south/southwest? I remember there are some rocks out there from when I used to fish in my express, but the new boat doesnt run as shallow and I kind of like my foot in one piece!! Any help?? Also, is the traffic there worse than Ecky is getting on the weekends??

Most of your rocks are gonna be east but they're out from Stoney Bayou. To be safe you can run the stakeline east and then idle into the shallows til you learn your way around.
To turn west onto the flats you just have to navigate a couple oyster/shell bars right off the channel. I will tell you the west flats get shallow quick so you have to be careful when the tides go out in that boat.
And yes the lighthouse ramp can be a zoo between 10am-4pm.

Thanks. Can I run out a little farther and circle back?? I have map on my Gps but it doesnt show all the rocks

That's what I do, run out around the spoil islands and then head east or west.

Have you downloaded the way points file on this site- it lists a lot of the rocks.
Thank you to all of the guys who hit them and marked the spot on their GPS.
But Tom wont guarantee a safe rock free trip if you use his way point files

Have you been to the Fort lately on a weekend?
At least at Anky you're dealing with
fellow Georgians!
Besides, I love to watch that BAD BEHAVIOR skimming across the
flats at Anky...I hope my boat will be like that when it grows up!

I would be happy to meet you there and show you all the safe routes to run East or West. Also, I could show you the grab your ass and hang on routes East and West.

BB, he probably won't charge you anything. That doesn't mean it won't cost you. Ask him how many lower units he and Butch have bought in the last 5 or 6 years.
