Fished south of Keaton all day Saturday, 6/16/07. Water temp around 80*+, the ticket seemed to be jigs bounced on the bottom or on long leaders under cajun thunders in 6-7 feet of water. Tough day, but ended up with three nice keeper trout and two good bsb for my buddy Allen. He schooled, me because all I could do was catch 14 7/8" trout. :|

This photo does absolutely no justice to a solid 25" trout for Allen:

The most fun of the day came at nine mile bank, when we got into a bunch of these on topwater:

Talk about having a blast... the water would just boil as they all would take turns knocking the bait around before finally hooking up. These jakcs were a solid 5-6 pounds, and pulled like crazy.

A good, but slow day. Lots of shorts and trash fish mixed in, and nothing broke. =)

We fished Friday afternoon in the same area. Nothing but Ladyfish and sharks, but they were a good ride. Decided to go up into a creek mouth after the tide turned and got into some Reds. The wife kicked my butt as usual and caught 3, but only one was a keeper and just barely at 26.75 inches! Not complaining though, a wife that loves to fish is a terrible thing to waste!
