Fort Walton Fishing?

Going to meet the family in Ft. W this weekend and next. I'll take my boat (of course) and I usually put in on the 98 bridge that crosses over to Santa Rosa Island at that bait shop. Looking to spread out a bit. Anyone with suggestions is welcome. My boat is a 16' Carolina Skiff with a 40hp merc. So no offshore stuff, strictly bay and bridge stuff. Or maybe even a fresh water trip (I shutter to think that cause I love Redfish). Any thoughts...

I can say one thing for sure. Choctawhatchee Bay can get real rough real quick, just watch the water and weather......

Have fun....

If anyone has advice on the area, I am interested too. My wife's family is in Mary Ester and Shalimar.

Thx in advance.
