New Adult Treat: Beer On A Stick Dubbed Hopsicle
(CBS4) ALEXANDRIA, Va. Most beer lovers will tell you they'd rather have it cold. But would they like it frozen and on a stick like a Popsicle?
That's the latest way it’s being served at Rustico Restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia.
Frank Morales, the restaurant owner, is selling the adults only frozen treats in flavors like “Raspbeer-y" and "Fudgesicle." They cost $4 for the 6-ounce size, shaped like a traditional Popsicle, and $6 for a larger "beer cone."
However, this new way for adults to beat the heat is not going over so well with state officials in Virginia.
Virginia regulators say the treats could be in violation of state code.
They say beer must be served in its original container or immediately after it's poured.
