Motor protection from salt

What do you use? I rinse my motor with the hose but there seems to be some hard to get parts showing light corrosion. It comes off easily rubbing it, but isn't there something I can spray to take this off and protect the motor?

Get a can of Corrosion X and open the cowling once every couple of trips and spray her down.

I just started using Salt Terminator--
A buddy uses with his wave runners and after 4 years they are spotless.
It comes with a hose adapter so you can run it through your water pickup.

The same guy also uses another version of CorrosionX like Tom suggested and sprays down the metal parts every trip.
You can get both from South Ga Outdoors in Cairo
Or I am sure Advantage Marine in Medart will order it.

I rinse after every trip. After it dries, spray her down with silicone. No rust/corrosion

I also use Salt Terminator and clean the motor using that tool for around 30 mins. Then I also put Salt Terminator in a bucket with water and wash the outside of the motor with it. I also spray the motor with water before all this.

I use freshwater, let it dry...then I spray it with WD40 and sometimes armorall (it's all I had
) looks like new

Also check your motor anodes. They may be worn out and need replacing.

I use a product called saltaway on my entire boat, it's probably the same stuff as salt terminator that some of these other guys are using. I even wash my rods and reels down with it and then apply a small amount of reelX. It's made by the same people who make corrosionX, and believe me it's some good stuff.

I use the Wakulla river...always put in at Shell Island and wash motor out coming up the river...When I get home, I always wash the motor down with soapy water...I have sprayed wd-40 around the powerhead..Four seasons on the motor and no sign of rust so far..

Corrosion comes with the territory.... Rinse down good. I use Battery terminal protector spray ...

Do you flush your motor with the Salt Terminator? I guess you leave it "in line" with the hose you flush with?

I started using this after the most meticulos person I know almost had a heart attack when he saw me flushing with fresh water and washing with soap. Won't do that again.
