The only thing that worries me is the motor, anybody had one of these?
Mariner

I have owned a couple Mariner's and always had good luck with them. One on a bass boat, one on a jon boat. I would recommend having a "Purchase Check" done by a Mercury / Mariner mechanic before you close the deal. They will check the compression, foot oil, etc. and give you a report. It should run $100 - $150.
If everything checks out okay, just run it often. The Mercs / Mariners don't like to sit still.
Good Luck with your bidding.

It's a Mercury. Absoutely no difference except the decals and paint color. I have a 1997 Mariner 200 on my bass boat. I've had no problems with the motor.

CT, just drive down and look at it. If you like it buy it right then. Bird in hand is worth two in the bush for a seller. Hewes are nice boats, draft alot but nice. Chalks' is nice and skinny
