I went down for a company outing and went offshore sat. and didnt really know what to expect. We were on a 50' steel cat named Silver Dollar II, best thing about her was the huge center cabin with A/C. The fishing was a crowd pleaser for the newbies with plenty of sharks up to 5' and jack crevales galore. The bottom fishing was nothing like Carrabelle and the main structure was shrimp boats. Every shrimp boat out there and there was plenty had one or two fishing boats right on there heals and I mean within feet. I kept thinking that I have never been this close to one on the open water. I was catching 20 to 25 lb jacks on light spinning tackle just to make it interesting. We had one king and a couple spanish. We trolled in with only blue runners hitting the spoons. All in all it was a fun day with all the beer you could drink and with 15 on board we drank alot. All the Islands had dead pine trees still standing and storm damage was everywhere onshore. The casino at the Beax Rivage was nice and I came out about even. 8)
