Panacea 6/16 and 6/24

Post by DWilliams »

The board has been kinda slow so here goes: bottom fishing has been slow, only two keepers with live and cut bait, but we'd rather be diving so the two came on not so good of effort. The diving has been good only a couple of holes had vis not good enough to shoot. We have been in relatively shallow < 45' with better than good results. The fish have been scattered congregating around live bait or vice versa. Some of the best looking rock ledges have not had any fish and some smaller ledges have been loaded. I have been out of action for the last two months b/c of motor trouble and upgraded to a Suzuki. Good results so far with a little over 20hrs.

Best dive on 6/16: kinda hard to tell, but 8 keepers

Best dive on 6/24: Desmond w/4 group and 4 hogs, Randall did have a 15#grp

Saturday is already lined up, but my arm could be twisted on Sunday. I've got one maybe two that could possibly go.

The vis was good in <45', but changed last weekend. We found good vis in 45 and made it out to 60. Went out yesterday and vis looked good in 85', but didn't dive.
