A mini-cobe decided to tail kicked my pliers into the water 2 weekends ago so I replaced them with some floating ones from Bass Pro Shops.

They look like something from a Crackerjack Box, though. Has anyone ever used these things? If so, how bad do they suck?

If you look real hard just west of the tripod @ Ecky, I threw a pair overboard as far as I could when I stuck a hook in my hand because these P.O.S pliers twisted trying to remove a hook from a cat. Save your reciept and send them back. Go to south Ga outdoors and buy a pair of mechanical pliers from Heath. About $20 bucks more but it'll be the best extra $20 you'll ever spend. They come with a stretchy lanard that attaches to the included sheath so you wont drop them in the water. Good fishin!!

They cut good, but suck when trying to get hooks out of the fish. The gap in the pliers are too big

Ditto- the jaws twist and don't hold onto the hook well.

Plastic pliers :smt005 :smt005 :smt005 I was unfortunate enough to win a pair once. After trying them once,I couldn't throw them far enough.
