West Goose Creek 6/30

Didn't do anything this afternoon. When I first got to Wakulla Beach the wind was blowing so hard out of the SE that I considered giving it up and heading to the river, but then went ahead and launched. No trout, no reds, 2 catfish on a jig under a Cajun Thunder. Switched back to lures to mitigate the interest of the catfish. The weather starting looking pretty grim around 3:30. Very dark and lightning to the NW and NE. The line of dark clouds came S and went on out offshore before breaking up but, the rain and lightning stayed off to the N. Later on the wind turned around and came out of the NNW, but the storm never made it to Wakulla Beach.
I started thinking......when it looks like everybody has gone home because of the weather, and you're the only one still out, it might be an indicator that the whole world has more sense than you do right then.
Fished up the W side of the creek, then around the bars. Something was periodically busting schools of 6-8" mullet, but never in casting range of where I was at the time.
It started drizzling a little bit at about 6:30, as I got back to the beach. Talked to two other guys pulling out a square stern canoe. They hadn't done much either.
