What a long but wonderful day. Clock went off at 3:30AM  , got my coffee, loaded up the ice chest with drinks and snacks and headed out to meet up with Skeeter22 and little skeeter after gassing up the truck and getting ice. Checked in at Jerry’s a little after 6AM (a long way from Boston GA). Another 30 miles and we are at the Econfina ramp. Already a bunch of trailers in the parking lot and we unload just ahead of Atticus and Bad Behavior. Heading out the river as the sun was rising and the flats looked awesome. First we headed west and tried some shallow water looking for a big trout. Soon I had landed a barely legal Refish and then a 4’ shark that gave my light tackle rig a run for the money.
My fishing partners then reminded me it was a TROUT tournament. It wasn’t long and little Skeeter hooked into something big. He battled and battled with this fish around the boat about three laps and about 15 minutes later he landed it. A big Jack. Soon after that Little Skeeter hooks up once again and lands a 19â€

:-D Welby how deep are you getting trout? And it aint but an hour to Ecofina ,from Boston, if you don't stop for bait. How much water you need to get out in your new boat? I haven't been back to Eky in the Kenner yet. :-D I got to hurry up and develop some pics so I can change my avatar.

Hey Hit, try going from Boston to Jerry's B&T (which is in Wakulla) then 30 miles to Econfina ramp then 30 back to Jerry's for the weigh-in...you get the picture (the win made it all worth while).....about 10' for the trout..And we came in on a low tide Saturday and it was close but we didn't have any problems.

 When it comes to Ecofina I confuse JR's with Jerry's. Congrats on the win. I guess BB's limiting out streak has ended. :D
