HEY C.T. THOSE LITTLE BOATS ARE MADE OVER IN JACKSONVILLE, LOOK REALLY LIGHT IN WEIGHT, NEVER BEEN IN ONE BUT SAW ONE LAST YEAR DOWN AT ST. MARKS, LOOKED LIKE IT WAS BOUNCING AROUND PRETTY GOOD IN ABOUT 1' SWELLS, ONLY HAD ONE MAN ON BOARD AND HE WAS W O T DOING ABOUT 40 MPH.
PA THE OLD MAN OF THE SEA

IS IT JUST ME OR ARE ANYONE ELSE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING REPLIES SUBMITTED, I HAVE TRIED SUBMITTING THIS ONE 20 TIMES SO FAR.

Good boats CT. easy on the wallet for a polling skiff. Draft more than some because of the deadrise but not any V in the front to bust up the chop. They can be rough on your hind end. I don't mean this in a bad way for those of you that have them but they are kind of like the Carolina Skiffs of the polling skiffs fit and finish wise. However I understand they are coming out with a new model the "XS" that is supposed to have "0' " deadrise and a little more V in the front. More like the HBay, Gordan, Beavertails.

CT, you would be much better off buying Chalks BC for the money. Get him to take you fishing in it, you'll like it.

Cheap no frills poling skiff, has a cult following, real skinny draft...only thing I don't like about them is the interior finish, it's like a carolina skiff and storage (being I'm a tackle hound)....other than that it's an awesome little boat.

The one at the base of the Hathaway has been for sale for awhile, it's unrigged - new without a motor or steering http://boatstore.floridasportsman.com/c ... 1180839342

It's nice, but if you like that boat you can get it one rigged for what he wants unrigged IMO.

Asking 17K but that's probably more than he paid for it '05. In 05' those boats were maybe 15K new + the grand for the push pole. It is Model B1. Offer him 10k in folding money and I bet you'll have yourself a new boat.

Aint your dad a huge fly guy? He'll love this boat. Get some of your inheritance early from him. :-D

I don't know him personally. He post over on inshorefishing.com. I think his username is sapp, Chalk can correct me on this if I'm wrong. Search his post to see if he's posted more info on the boat in the past.

One that will allow me to float in about 5" of water and run in about 2"

Short list is Beavertail, Gordon, Hells Bay & Maverick HPX T - Though I will be making sacrifices, because those boats can't do certain things like mine does now , but I want to take that risk
