I was getting poor reception on my TV. The cable guy (I don't think it was Larry) came out and said rats had been chewing on the cable. He said only pregnant female rats would chew the cable because the cable gave off a frequency that interfered with their hormones. From previous topics I believe some people on the Forum may have experience with sheep and goats but rats??? Does anybody have any information on this???

My two cents...it may be a pregnant one, but it would be biting it to try to cut it up to use it to make a nest (like is was a stick or something). I had my spark plug wires chewed off twice (several years ago). Once it was in a car I had not driven for a while, and I found part of the wire where it began to make the nest (along with leaves and other stuff) under the hood. The other time my wife's car started running rough and a rat had chewed through one of the wires. A good "hunter" cat can make a big difference...that was our solution.
