Catastropic Casting!

Opps, I made a bad boo-boo yesterday! While out scalloping with son & grandsons yesterday afternoon on the east flats, I decided to practice casting awhile with the GLoomis 8#. 
Somehow, while vigorously flipping the flyline around I kissed the T-Top and bye-bye rod tip! 
However, this is why one buys a high end fly rod with a lifetime warranty... 
And, I still have my 7# to fish with! 
Yes, there are still tons of those horrible scallops out there for the picking...couldn't' find a fish to bite, though, and the weather ran us off the flats late before we could sneak in close and find some.
