Panama City Reds and Trout

I met up with some people and fished West Bay. It was my first time fishing there. Not knowing what to expect and fishing out of a kayak, I brought a little bit of everthing to throw at the fish. We paddled out on the grass flats, and started catching trout on topwater. At times, the bite was extremely hot and very quickly I had all I wanted with the trout. They averaged between 14 and 17 inches with several going bigger. Several reds were caught as well. These went from small up to 27 inches. Then, as I was paddling back to the creek, at the mouth, something large hit my lure. After a couple good runs, I pull up this 30 inch beauty.

Thanks to Chalk for giving us a couple suggestions as to where to fish. I look forward to going back again sometime.

That was one of two first place 30 inch reds. I had to split the pot, but that's ok. The largest trout was 25 inches. I'm not sure who caught it though.
