Our duck season started on 1st September, but I won't be going out until a bit later in the month.
There are still quite a few "flappers" about, as there were some late broods due to the bad Spring weather.

I may have an evening on the wheat stubbles before they plough them in.

Whats up with all the geese this year?? Is there a snow goose season that coincides with the teal season this year?

I agree with Bman, this thread should be deleted right after Redbelly PM's me the exact GPC coordinates of the Micco teal he saw.

Won't do any good, I got a feeling Miccosoukee will have an arse load of hunters since there aint no water anywhere else.
Think I'll stay on the hill.

That's why I quit duck hunting public waters years ago. Too crowded and skybusters.
Ain't worth the effort. Seems the ducks got ran off Seminole earlier and earlier. If you can't scout there properly it's no good usually.
We just don't have the public ducks like years past.

Now the private lakes and ponds is a different matter..... 8)

Three words to fix your duck hunting problems. Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas. Duck hunting @ Seminole got bad when Warren Coco developed the Go Devil and it found its way to Lake Seminole. I had the second Go devil around Lake Seminole and we killed ducks like never before for about a month before every one started buying them. Now I like to go out of state, pick a body of water, and go figure out the ducks. Much more challenging and if I cant figure them out in a couple of days, or we get frozen in, We go to the fields and hunt private land. We dont have ducks in Ga. Face it folks , thank god for our deer and turkeys b/c if we had to rely on our great state for ducks and grouper, we'd all be SOL!!! Thank God I live in Georgia and thank god every where else aint too far to drive!!!!
