Took the crew to KB to enjoy the last scalloping trip of the 07 season and to get a way from Tifton for the weekend. The former we had some success but the latter we failed miserrably as the first person I met while putting the boat in was from Tifton, the group of guys I asked to borrow a fillet knife at the cleaning table were from Tifton, and a guy who asked me about the fishing at the marina before we left also was from Tifton. :bang: Anyhow, we had a good trip - I called it a trip I called "the first". Here's why:
Calvin caught his first 20''+ trout all by himself

another shot of the same fish (sister was too busy reading the Harry Potter book to care).

Kedong with his first keeper red

Calvin not to be outdone and catch his first red a short while later (almost touching the 18' mark but we let it go to fight another day)

Kedong's turn to catch a 20''+ trout

another shot of the same fish

In total, we ended up keeping 6 trout and a red on Saturday fishing from 4-7 pm, and with 7 trout on Sunday fishing from 8.30-11 am. I caught 2 on top water walking the dog, which was a first for me as well - love those top-water explosion.

We also got our limit of scallop (took almost 15 gallon and us whole day to clean :cryin: to get the 1/2 gallon of meat), which was a first for us as well. Didnt make the same mistake again on Sunday, took home only about 6 gallon, enough for a meal for us.

Hope yall enjoy the pictures
