Maybe I look too much into things, but I found this interesting...I was looking at the barometric pressures for the past two days. I wondered if they varied or fluctuated around the tides. I looked at several days and they seem to be in line.

If you looked solely at this and used the old saying that fish bite prior to a front (low pressure)...based off the fact that the pressure is lower going to low tide...low tide should produce the best bite.

More research needs to be conducted from the boat to either deny or affirm this hypothesis

Interesting. The tide and pressure nearly overlay.

For me, the most interesting piece of info is the pressure never dropped below 30.05.

As fast as you run it you may want to consider an altimeter and airspeed indicator.

That is interesting, but if you go back to sept 1 it looks like the opposite is true. One thing that does seem to be consistent is the barametric pressure is highest through the middle of the day, which makes sense. Thats a useful site to bookmark. Thanks Chalk.

True....I didn't go look for a noon low...I was thinking it would vary with strong weather patterns as well....still seems to be a pattern...not sure what it is....first glance and you say it's when the suns up...but if you look it creeps back up at mid night, same as it does at midday...More analysis must be conducted.

on the comments! I actually keep it with me for the fishing and If I decide to run off a ways, I can hopefully watch it and see if a storm is coming. I also use it to further help with the tides, as to their prediction reliabilities. Chalk You know with a boat as big as mine I have to have every inch of water I can get!!!
