So, you folks like to hear the bad as well as the good?

Well, here's the bad.

Launched from the fort at daylight and headed east. The wind was out of the south at 10+. Even so the water dissappeared in a hurry. Dodged storms from 9:30 till 1:00. Right around 1:00 my BIL hung into a 13 lb. 6 oz. Jack.

If you look in the background you'll see it was ugly.

As soon as we released the jack we headed in. We ran into 3 foot washing machine conditions in the mouth of the river.

Finished the day with 3 keeper trout, 1 being over 20".

For those of you that are thinking this beat working, you might be glad you were working. :-?

My guess was that I had one of those Jacks yesterday for about 30 seconds but never got a look. The strike was right on target and it ran like a freight train. I saw that storm work from the West towards St Marks & figured somebody would be dealing with it.

Glad you got out TC. Nice Jack and "good on ya" for the trout. At least you guys have a good story to tell about braving the elements. Nice Scout by the way. I'm sure you love it.
