That Abu Garcia is one helluva setup. I got stuck on what I thought was oyster a few years ago near bald point, and eventually reeled in one of those same 5500's still attached to a Pinnacle rod. The reel and rod had barnacles. Without replacing any parts, I took the reel apart, scraped the barnacles off, cleaned it in the garden hose, reassembled and put new line on it and it worked perfectly for couple years (and I fish an average of 2-3 times per week when it's not below freezing out). The screw on the reel finally quit working early this year after I neglected to clean it properly a few times, but I'm sure if I replace that (or maybe just give it another good cleanin') it'll give me plenty more good fishin'

Nice report and tasty lookin dinner

Ditto on the 5500C, I am close to abandoning all my spinning reels for that setup. It was my first time ever using a Ambasador. The quality showed it self in each cast. Smooth no backlash. Me and my old fishing buddy brought one up from the pepths and I believe he still uses that thing today... Awesome
