The tide (0.4) was very low for late summer and made for some interesting moments.
A decided to head east and get up a special creek, idled and trolled in the last mile and got tied up into my biggest red yet.

This was not his first rodeo, he instantly headed for a couple of crab traps,
Don was on the trolling motor and expertly got us through the traps,
Then he decide to go for the trolling motor and Don again gets the motor up just in time, I bury the rod in the water as the red makes way for the under side of the boat, but since we are in about 8 inches of water he heads back, after a few more runs he's in the boat, for a couple of pictures, a weigh in ( 8 lb 6 oz) and measuring ( 29 inches}. Also no Spots.

Caught 1 more short red, and pushed our luck on a falling tide a little too much, we had to walk, push and wade to get the boat out of the creek,
but we made it out and headed for deeper water.
There was a lot of floating weed, so trout fishing was tough, we still got a couple nice trout and a big blue. And other than running up on a oyster bar that wasn't there when we went out, all was a Good day.
