Sleep in late, boat wasn't ready, got it ready, got tackle ready...was on the water by 0900.

Plan was to fish new areas, areas I wouldn't fish cause they don't look fishy...just look for some new water, maybe find a hidden treasure.

First spot had a sand bank, which I don't like and I wanted to leave...but in the interest of exploring I stuck with it. I was flinging a piece of metal with a hook...Looking for a pumpkin to attack my lure....all of a sudden three bronze missiles came up behind my bait...I throttled back and the larger fish accelerated to the lure and ate :smt007 . I set back on the fish and eye ball his buddies....one, two, three, four, five, six.....let's skip ahead and say 40 redfish were around my boat :o ...I was surrounded by redfish...I finally get the beast to the boat and it measured 28" ...no camera = no pics

I got the long pole out and started looking for the school...couldn't find them....I worked on down the bank and then ran back up and redrifted it....I saw one more redfish on the bank....It chased the fly for a second, then bugged out.

Moved on down the same bank....quickly locked into a nice 27" red.

Slack tide was around 12:30....having 12 hour tides means a longer slack time...meaning nothing was chewing much after lunch...did manage to scratch up a few dink trout and a hard head throwing a cork.

I decided to call it a day around 4:15....Then I arrived at the ramp to find gomer, guber, shenahnah and cleopheus fishing on both ramp docks and lines out in the water in the boat basin  :smt013 :smt011

A some what fun day exploring the bay...didn't catch alot but found one place that might be worth a try again...can't wait to go again
