Lanark 13th, 14th, 15th

Went offshore fishing for three days out of Lanark. Water temp at 86 degrees and stormy a couple of days. Fished as shallow as 45 and as deep as 105. Most of the fish caught in 95 and 60. Limited on red grouper and red snapper every day (not hard with new regs) but did find a lot of big lane snapper which helped with the fish in the box. They are just as good as reds in my opinion. Caught some huge triggers too. Kept a few bigger grunts for the grease as well. Had to move alot though. Stop at a spot, bite would be good for 20-30 minutes then would stop. Move to another hole quarter mile away and the same thing. Have Garmin with XM Weather so was able to avoid the storms but had to stay on the move to dodge them. Was fun. Ended up with good box of fish each day and the gags are just starting to move in. Stopped at a 55 ft hole coming in and caught 2 off of it that were keepers and brought up a bunch of shorts. That is a good sign. Caught 2 keepers in deeper water. Love it out there and hope the wind calms down, going back out in 2 weeks.
