Hi guys-
Need a little help / feedback.
I have a two year old Nissan 4 stroke 30HP with remote stearing, electric start, trim and tilt....
Last week I finally got out on the water and here is the series of events.
Motor cranks and runs fine
Run out 2-3 miles turn motor off and trim up foot... start drift
Crank back up and make 2nd drift- also trim up foot-
Try to crank up for 3rd drift and nothing...
Look back and the red "oil light" - which is always on- turns off when I try to crank the motor.
try to trim the motor and nothing.
Look at the volt meter and its reading full charge- all the rest of the electronics are working.
Put the key in run- reach back and pull the starter cord- motor starts 2nd pull.
start to run and touch the trim switch- the motor shutters and dies.
Crank it back up manually- ever time I touch the trim switch the red light goes out and it shutters and almost dies.
Get back to the dock and cant get the foot to trim up with the remote trim switch or the backup switch on the motor.
Take it to the dealer and it works perfectly.....
He thinks it was a bad battery connection and I was starving the motor of voltage when I tried to trim it.....
Any thoughts?
Besides electrical problems being scary.

IF you have a battery switch, look inside there too. Me and mojokoko got stuck 4 or 5 times in the old J16 cause a cable was loose inside the switch, and at least a couple times, it made whatever short circuit was necessary to keep the ignition from firing in the motor even on manual start. We had to get towed once after trying manual start for like 45 minutes, and as soon as ole Reddie Red got us up on plane and we bounced a couple times, all the electronics came back on; the motor cranked on the first turn of the key after handing over my credit card..
