I have AT&T currently, but I have found that all cell phone providers suck in their own special way. They either have hidden charges they don't tell you about, bad customer service and/or spotty coverage areas. Last year, I went to prepaid because I got tired of being screwed by being under a contract. It's actually cheaper and you can still get a plan with mobile-mobile and nights/weekends. I'm not a contract person myself......I don't require them in my business and don't feel I should be bound to one to give my business to someone else. If a business provides bad service, you should be able to drop them without having to give them $$$ to stop using them. If it was that way all around, we might get better service as a whole

Main phone is Altell. Best in the boonies for sure. My Iphone is on ATT and I am not impressed with coverage of the cell phone or the speed of the edge network.

Alltel...been useing them for the last 6yrs. Their data plans for the smart phones has good coverage, and is pretty fast. Just like the comercials say you can have 10 #'s land line or mobile that don't count against your minutes. You can chage them anytime online. I had to add Chalk to mine, everytime we get on the phone it's a half hour easy

.
Chalk, Alltel has a thing now that you don't have to be under contract to change your plan. I've been out of contract for over a year.
That being said, and been said before....they all suck in there on special ways.

Alltel, and check out the new razor. I have one and like its features, size and it has celltop. Also a nice mp3 player with touch screen front. It has great service and Ive always been satisfied with alltels service. I have eleven cells under alltel(mine and employees) and get good coverage
with them all.

It really boils down to the fact that alltel doesn't have a selection of phones...they don't have the Krvr...liked the black berry pearl & black jack, alltel do not have those....I have a razr it's okay...looking for a smartphone alltel choices are the treo, big black berry, Q and 6700...not much to choose from.
I'll keep looking..thanks for the info

I like my Verizon service- good most places I go.
Better than my buddies Alltel at the duck camp.
Fine from St Marks to Appalach
I have a Treo- ready upgrade to a newer phone but the Tallahassee MLS lock boxes only work with a Treo / infrared beam. I'm stuck with a treo unless i want to carry a 2nd key.
I hear from the Alltel guys that they are better in the country.

Like I said , check out the new razor (motorazr2 V9m). Its only been out a month and it has many of the features, capabilities of the other phones you mentioned. I recieve all my emails on the celltop feature as well as weather, news, stocks, game scores, live tv, live internet, etc. Its a lot more phone than the regular razr. JMO!!! BB Oh yea stay away from the Q. POS! treo is ok but limited and the big blackberry is great for data but sux as a telephone. Feel like youre talking into a brick.

We use alltel at work and they are pretty much the suck. I have to keep calling them on numerous billing issues. They issue credits readily enough, but I have to go over each bill with a fine tooth comb. Its amazing how many ways they can find to add incorrect charges, and always in their favor.
I have had verizon for years on my personal phone and they have been very good. They have done a couple things for me that were completely unexpected. One, they replaced a broken uninsured phone for me at no charge in the middle of a contract period. And two, after all the storms a couple years ago, I get a call from them out of the blue. They tell me they noticed that during the storms I exceeded my minutes. They told me they adjusted my plan during those months to the most economic plan for my usage and that they were crediting my account for the difference (~$100).
Based on those service issues, and the lack of any real negative issues, I am relatively loyal to the.
Coverage is a non-issue once you get a national plan. If there is a tower, my phone gets it, no matter who owns it. The difference is phone reception, not provider.
