TKAA Tournament in Virginia

What a week. I drove up to Virginia Beach, VA Tuesday night after work to pre-fish the TKAA 3rd Annual Charity Fishing Tournament. I left at 5:00 PM and everything was rolling smooth until I got to South Carolina. Around 12:32 am I was cruising through the fog around mile marker 82 and saw a Huge Deerhead in my Drivers side window. LITERALLY. It damaged the drivers side door, and rear quarter panel, but the damage was relatively minor.

I arrived in Virginia Beach at Crab Creek at 05:30 and Chad Hoover was waiting there with his kayak unloaded and ready to fish. We unloaded my boat and made a few off color comments at each others jobs, looks, and sexual orientation. All of which are lies, but makes for some good camaraderie. We paddled over to a sure bet hole and flounder were jumping out of the water chasing bait. This was a fantastic site to see. This didn’t happen just once or twice, but lots of times. Chad said don’t worry. Lets go over the game plan. Hey, its your show, teach me the ropes. We fished our go to hole for Trout and Flounder, then when the tide got right, we went into the small shallow bay and fished the grass on top-water to catch Redfish. I used the pink Skitter-walk, and Chad used a small Skitter-walk, and we cashed in on lots of Redfish from 20-25â€
