Got an invitation to fish with Troutainator again so we made plans to get out early. Sunrise was at 7:20, and we were on the water on site by 5:30.

The ride out was a little chilly but not cold enough to wear a coat. The gulf was like an old friend I hadn’t seen in a while. It was good to see the ocean again. I wish this report was like most of my other reports, but once in a while you have to pay up with a poor report like this, here goes!

Ok the good things were: Watching the sunrise, feeling and listening to the wind howling through the fishing lines, running down the river under the full moon. (again Troutinator gets credit for making a good sandwich and bringing the right snacks) We had planned for a ½ day but somewhere those plans were lost…. We were started catching and releasing keeper trout, but those plans flip-flopped when Troutinator reeled in a 17.5â€

I don't know if it was a sea robin. I did not even want to touch it because it resembled a lion fish. You can't see it in the picture, but the fish had quite an array of fins both dorsal and pectoral. But the fish was kind of funny looking. :-D
