Trolling Motor recommendations

I'm looking at getting a new trolling motor for my boat. The boat is a 17' Triton Aluminum flats boat. Does anybody have any recommendations?
Has anyone tried the t.m.'s that keep you on your course adjusting for any wind change?
Any brands I should avoid?
Thanks!

I like my 24V Motor Guide. I just wish now that I had the foot control/remote operated model, but you live and learn.

The autopilot works great, you want the remote if you're gonna stand on the polin tower or a small casting deck, but otherwise, I give the foot control

and the wireless is more of what I'd call 'good idea, not quite as good execution'
Autopilot though, I give that a thumbs up, just remember it's going to maintain a compass heading and not actually follow the line you're fishing, so you'll need to be prepared to make minor course adjustments frequently, which I personally find is best done with your foot, leaving your hands free to catch 'casey cook' redfish
