Back to Iamonia

went back to Iamonia today with a friend to see how the recent rain has affected things. the water is up a few feet but the pads are still high and dry. got to the landing and went to crank the motor only to have my sunglasses get jerked off my head into the water(dont ask me how). this would have been my 2nd pair of expensive sunglasses lost so i quickly jumped in after them disregarding shoes, wallet, and cell phone. miraculously the phone still works after being completely submerged.

anyways, caught fish in the same places we did last sunday. between the two of us we landed 12 fish total, but we missed lots of strikes.
total for the day:
10 bass to about 3lbs
1 jack
1 bream/speck hybrid?-really crazy looking. had a bream head, but faint speck lines and speck fins

THAT WOULD BE A FLY BREAM. BAIT STORE HERE IN TOWN SAYS THAT SEVERAL GUYS DID VERY WELL WITH THE FLY BREAM LAST WEEK USING MINNOWS.

thanks for the clarification on that fish. i feel stupid for thinking it was some king of hybrid now but at least i'll know for next time. it was a pretty decent sized fish as far as bream go.

went back to the lake yesterday and it was pretty much the same story as last weekend, only we fished longer and caught a few more fish because of it. thankfully it was a much more uneventful day.

final tally:
probably upwards of 30 bass caught, 7 kept
caught 3 or 4 nice sized jacks

Can you get a bass boat in at RT 12 yet? Maybe with a 4x4?

Over 4000 acre lake down to all the fish in a 300 acre pool. What a shame!

It is a shame that all the fish from a 4000 acre lake are trapped in 300acres.
