Low tide was about 8a.m. at -.30 so I knew there was not going to be much water, but with it predicted to flood three feet over mean, I knew we'd have some water moving. Got to the ramp around nine. Lowest I have seen in a while. Winter's here for sure.

One more bar to get past before we can make it to the Gulf. Alex is helping watch out for rocks on the bow, there are plenty.

We started out in about five foot of water and almost immediatly I got hit by a blue. They taste good on the smoker. Alex could not get out of the lizard fish for a while. A little frustrating, but like I told him, "at least he had something pulling. "

We drifted out of the lizards and he got a trout. I caught this flounder that measured legal if you measured it just right. I didn't figure "The Man" would take the time to measure it just right so I tossed him back. When I was unhooking him, Alex saw a HUGE flounder by the boat and tried to snag him or antogonize it enough to bite his grub, but he just swam away.

We went in to fish around the bars around 11:00. Man, sure was crowded to begin with. I caught my first red that measured a little short, but sure did pull good.

Caught another real quick and then Alex pulled in a nice 20" trout. He didn't want a picture in case it slipped outta his hands.

We ended with 3 keeper trout, 1 red, a blue, and a fat black. Had to throw our share of shorts back, and a bunch of lizards. Great day on the water, got back to the ramp about two.
Enough for a fry anyway. Great day on the water. Didn't see the mullet schooled up yet.
