what are good tactics/lures for catching reds during the winter months (nov-jan)? Is the bay side of st george good for reds?

These guys don't know what they're talking about. I wouldn't listen to them.
If I were you, I'd throw a spoon.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the gold spoon yet? It works for me!

Sure, I guess that works too but it isn't as shiny

I love to throw assassins unweighted, but find that I can't get the distance that I can with a spoon!...........so for me it has to be spoon as I need to cast as far away from the drifting boat as possible, so as not to spook the fish

There is nothing quite like shrimp.
Live bait was what they were catching the bulls on Saturday.
The smaller seemed to be the better.
Cut bait,

mullet is great.
Spoons are great but not the only game n town.
What is your strong suit?
Play to your strengths don't be ashamed to use live, cut bait, or shrimp.
There is no thou shalt...
I also love jerk baits and floating rattle traps, how about them Mirror lures.
I caught some there this past Saturday.
